There are traffic enforcers dispatched everywhere though. For us locals, we are used to the slower pace of Baguio compared to Manila. There was a joke one time on a popular Street where commercial establishments were located. One man honked for several minutes, the whole street laughed. The boy attending to us said, “It must be a foreigner,” and turned out to be right after the new expensive pickup passed by us. With that said, being relaxed will let you blend with the locals who are calmer.

When we were younger, one of our classmates who lived in Baguio City pointed out that it was not encouraged to throw garbage everywhere. He said it was illegal. Baguio City is one of the few cities who encourage the use of reusable shopping bags. Bring your shopping bags if you are planning to shop. Many stores here will pack your goods in a paper bag, which can be inconvenient especially for heavy stuff where they could easily tear the paper.
Heed also the warnings of the police to watch over your things. My brother lost his phone in his bag one time when we went grocery shopping. It was just in his backpack. There are pickpockets like any other city so do watch out for that even though there are police everywhere.
