Entrepreneurial Ventures: I am driven to pursue innovation and success in my entrepreneurial endeavours. As the Managing Editor of the new publication “No Clouds Tomorrow,” www.NoCloudsTomorrow.com, I have played a pivotal role in shaping its content and direction, captivating readers with insightful and engaging articles. Additionally, I proudly serve as the Director of the thriving e-commerce store, www.ShedBlog.com.au, where I navigate the ever-changing digital landscape with the help of my awesome team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Over the last 9 years, I have been lucky to share some great times with the Techstars entrepreneurial ecosystem as a Community Leader in the amazing Startup Weekend family of global citizens, passionate about living the “give first” life. For that, I will be forever grateful.
Embracing the Digital Nomad Lifestyle: 15 years ago, I boldly chose to break free from the constraints of the conventional 9-5 work life and embrace the digital nomad lifestyle and the unique work-life balance it can provide. I have traversed continents, immersing myself in vibrant cultures and picturesque landscapes. From Adelaide to Wanuran and down to Kempsey. From Toowoomba to Fiji to Morocco, from Bali to Ontario and on to South America, this nomadic existence has granted me invaluable experiences, broadening my perspective and enriching my understanding of the world and helped me discover my passionate partner in nomadic travel and global exploration.
An Advocate for Coworking and Coliving: My unwavering belief in the power of collaboration and community led me to co-found Canvas Coworking in Toowoomba, Queensland, where I proudly served as the president until mid-2023. Through this initiative, I have helped nurture a thriving, evolving ecosystem that fosters creativity, shared knowledge, and entrepreneurial growth. My dedication to the coworking and coliving movement has forged connections and empowered countless individuals on their own professional journeys.
My Love for Meeting People and House Sitting: My innate sociability and passion for human connection have led me to embrace the opportunities that house and pet sitting provide. By immersing myself in local communities, I have discovered the true essence of each destination, forging meaningful relationships and cherishing the joys of shared experiences. My “word” for 2022 was Evolve, and for 2023, it is Adventure.
A nomadic existence has granted me invaluable experiences, broadening my perspective and enriching my understanding of the world and helped me discover my passionate partner in nomadic travel and global exploration.
Artistic Pursuits and Sporting Enthusiasm Beyond my professional endeavours…
ART: I find great solace and self-expression through my artistic pursuits. Painting and sketching is my creative outlet, allowing me to communicate emotions and perspectives with the unique visual language that watercolours, ink, pens & pencils present.
SPORT: Additionally, I delight in watching Australian Rules Football (AFL) and avidly following Formula 1, where my passion for sports intertwines with my insatiable curiosity. Bushwalking and tramping the trails and pathways of the cities, towns and villages I encounter along the way is another outlet for the body and mind.
SPACE: I have been closely following Elon Musk, SpaceX, The NASA Artemis Program and various Mars Lander missions for quite a few years now. These endeavours motivate and challenge me to not accept the status quo and to believe that anything is possible.
SCI-FI: Ever since I sat in a cinema in 1977 and witnessed the opening scene of Star Wars, a groundbreaking and iconic science fiction film that shaped the future of cinema and popular culture, I have been a huge fan of Science Fiction. It may have even started earlier with The Day the Earth Stood Still or 2001, a Space Odyssey.
So, what is stopping you from having a go?
My extraordinary life journey encompasses the realms of entrepreneurship, artistry, and an unwavering dedication to exploring the world. Through my many and varied experiences as a digital nomad, community builder, and advocate for collaboration, I have woven a tapestry of global connections, joyous accomplishments, and cherished moments.
As I continue to evolve and embrace new adventures, I hope that my location-independent nomadic journey and our site “No Clouds Tomorrow” can serve as an inspiration to others, urging them to live with purpose, curiosity, and an unyielding passion for life’s infinite possibilities.
